My fascination with desserts started as a child growing up in Brooklyn, watching in great anticipation as my grandmother rolled out piecrust for her chocolate cream and lemon meringue pies. Easter was a bounty of her homemade Italian specialty cakes: wheat pie, ricotta cheesecake and her very own chocolate and vanilla cake, which sealed my love affair with, and fascination for, desserts. It consisted of homemade chocolate and vanilla puddings layered with rum soaked sponge cake and covered with fresh whipped cream, and lovingly decorated with maraschino cherries.
Over the past ten years, I’ve built Mrs. B’s Specialty Cakes from a small dessert company into a specialty bakery that I can bring to you. My products are delicious because my philosophy is simple: a cake should taste as good as it looks.
Whether it’s a decadent chocolate mousse cake, birthday cake or, even more important, your wedding cake for that special day, taste should never be compromised.
Whichever cakes you choose, you’ll find a consistent and delicious high quality dessert. Only the finest ingredients are used. All cakes are baked to order to insure freshness.
Wedding and Speciality cakes are finished with a rich buttercream, shortcakes with fresh whipped cream. Fresh flowers are used to decorate all cakes.
NO ROLLED FONDANT - Remember - taste is most important, so no fondant.
